An almost six-hour police stand-off in Milton ends peacefully. The Rock County Sheriff’s Office reports Milton police, along with several other law enforcement agencies, responded to a shots-fired call at 33 Northside Drive shortly after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. A news release indicates officers established a perimeter around the apartment building and began evacuating residents. Milton Police requested the Rock County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and a Sheriff’s Hostage Negotiations Team attempted to contact the suspect. After an extensive search, the suspect was located in a storage area within the building. The suspect was taken into custody, without incident, just after 1:00 a.m. Thursday. Authorities say the investigation is on-going.
