Janesville police are looking for a suspect who is wanted after he fled from police on March 8th.

According to a release, a JPD officer stopped a vehicle at Rockport Road and Pearl Street for a traffic violation, and the driver of the vehicle was identified as Eric Shipp.

The release says the officer found that Shipp had a valid warrant out for his arrest and when the officer attempted to take him into custody; Shipp resisted, put his car in drive, and drove off.

The officer was injured, but was treated at a nearby hospital and released.

Janesville police are asking that if anyone has information on the whereabouts of Shipp, they contact JPD or the Rock County Communications Center.
