Family Services of Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois launches a groundbreaking initiative that seeks to redefine the approach to individuals and families in Rock County.
The non-profit is moving forward with plans for the Next Steps Family Resilience Center in the former Royce Elementary School building in Beloit.
Executive Director Kelsey Hood-Christenson says the goal is to empower adults with essential life skills, foster early literacy and development in children, and strengthen family bonds.
The Next Steps Family Resilience Center will offer case management, mental health therapy, children’s services, financial counseling, childcare for up to 70 kids, and a transitional living program with 18 units.
Community members are invited to contribute to a $3.6 million capital campaign.
