A grant from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services is allowing Youth 2 Youth 4 Change in Beloit to pick up the prevention efforts that ceased when their Drug Free Communities grant ended.

Director Debbie Fisher says the $100,000 that Youth 2 Youth 4 Change will receive over the next two years is part of the $14.7 million multiyear JUUL settlement.

Fisher says they will use the money to have youth advocates do educational presentations to elementary school students in third through 5th grade.

Fisher says they will also be creating a program for youth who are caught vaping to help educate them on quitting, and organizing activities in the community that young people can do instead of vaping or using drugs.
