Janesville has no shortage of places to grab fried chicken.

There’s Kentucky Fried Chicken, Popeyes Louisiana Chicken, and Chick-fil-A; along with a Layne’s Chicken Fingers planned for the former Fazoli’s building.

Now it looks as though another restaurant that specializes in chicken fingers is looking to enter the already saturated market.

According to a City of Janesville Planning Division memo, a developer is planning on tearing down the Famous Dave’s on Milton Avenue in order to construct a 2,800 square foot Raising Cane’s restaurant.

On Monday night the Janesville Plan Commission is expected to set a public hearing for the conditional use permit for the project on March 4th.
