
A Beloit man accused of leading police chase through the city before crashing in Illinois will have to wait a little longer for a preliminary hearing.
In Rock County Court Friday morning, Court Commissioner Mason Braunschweig said 38-year-old Ronald Hicks, attorney Michael Murphy has a conflict of interest.
Hicks is charged with three counts of kidnapping, possession of a firearm by a felon, first degree recklessly endangering safety, battery, fleeing an officer, second degree recklessly endangering safety, possession with intent to delivery cocaine, possession with intent to deliver THC, and maintaining a drug trafficking place.
According to a criminal complaint, Hicks led police on a car chase with speeds exceeding 80mph in Beloit before crashing his car in Winnebago County.
He is currently being held on a $200,000 cash bond.
