The recent warm winter weather isn’t doing much to help the Blackhawk Golden K Kiwanis Truck on Ice contest.

Spokesperson Glen Disrude says they need eight inches of ice and it doesn’t appear that is going to be possible.

Disrude says the deadline to get the red Chevy Suburban on the Traxler Park lagoon is February 10th.

Disrude says because the truck can’t be placed on the ice, each ticket to guess when the truck will sink will be entered into a drawing that will be held March 13th.

The top prize is still $3000 followed by four $250 prizes, and 10 $100 prizes.
