A play that inspired a popular movie takes center stage at a local high school this weekend.

Director Colin Swanson says the Parker Arts Academy is performing Steel Magnolias through Sunday.

Swanson says there are shows Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 1:00.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at Knapton Music Knotes, Voigt Music, at the door, or online on the Parker Arts Academy website.
