Janesville firefighters were dispatched to the 2000 block of Apache Court about 1:30 a.m. Monday.  Investigators say supporting lumber, directly behind the masonry of the fireplace, ignited. Firefighters say luckily a resident saw smoke coming through the wall, and damage was kept to a minimum.  No one was reported hurt.  Officials say they are curious if construction of the fireplace was up to code.
