Beloit police are jokingly calling an auto theft suspect “Cinderella”.  Sergeant Ryan Flanagan says during a police pursuit this week, the suspect abandoned the vehicle, and left one shoe behind.  Police are asking the public’s help in identifying the owner of the shoe.  Flanagan adds police are using the case to call attention to the risks of warming-up, an unlocked, and unattended vehicle.  He says these types of thefts tend to increase when the weather turns wintry.
