Those no longer needed pickup trees can be picked up for Beloit residents starting this week.

Director of Strategic Communications Sarah Lock says starting Monday, January 8th and running until January 19th, residents can place their tree on their curbside by 6am on their regular scheduled collection day to have them picked up by Public Works.

Lock says trees must be free of all stands, bags, lights, tinsel, garland and ornaments; and if residents forget to put their tree on the curb they can drop it off at the city’s Recycling Drop Off Center.

Lock says holiday wreaths and garland can also be disposed in residents trash bins for pickup.
