The City of Fort Atkinson is going to need to update its road maps.

Public Works Superintendent Tom Williamson says James Place will permanently close on February 1st.

Williamson says the closure is intended to facilitate the construction of a new Department of Public Works facility.

Williamson says Hilltop Road to the south and Rockwell Avenue to the north both represent easy access to Janesville Avenue, and are a replacement for the James Place route.
