Two newcomers throw their hat in the ring in the race for Beloit City Council.

Five people are seeking four open seats in April.

Director of Strategic Communications Sarah Lock says the candidates include incumbents Kevin Day, Kevin Leavy and Markese Terrell, and newcomers Martin Densch and Mark Dutter.

Beloit City Council President Regina Dunkin announced in November that she is not seeking re-election.

The election is April 2nd.
