Elected officials and government employees from around Wisconsin are invited to participate in the UW-Madison Division of Extension’s Local Government Leadership Academy.
Community Leadership Specialist Elizabeth McCrank says programs that teach people how local government works already exist.
The Local Government Leadership Academy (LGLA) is a hybrid online/in-person program for elected officials or professional staff of any county or municipality in Wisconsin who understand the basics of their role and are ready to take on new leadership challenges, as well as anyone interested in becoming a more effective leader in local government.
McCrank says the program runs for nine months beginning January 11th.
The deadline to register is December 31st.
