The Rock County Board is looking for people to serve on the county’s Housing Authority.

Director of Planning and Development Andrew Baker says it is a separate identity that works with federal dollars to do rehab work and new construction on low income individuals on properties outside the cities of Janesville and Beloit.

Baker says the Housing Authority is looking for one person to fill their fifth and final role, and ideally the candidate will have an understanding of housing related concerns, such as mortgage or construction experience.

Interested people have until January 2nd to apply for a spot on the county’s website.
