The Beloit City Council decides a little more research is necessary before they life a no parking restriction on a stretch Royce Avenue approaching Henry Avenue.

Council Member Kevin Leavy says the width of the street is already narrow as it is with parking on just one side, and he isn’t sure how it’s going to work from a safety standpoint with cars taking the corner and speeding down the road.

Leavy says they need to do some more research, so he motioned to send it back to the traffic review committee to look at some other options, and city staff can talk to the city police and fire department to get their opinions on the change.

Public Works Director Bill Frisbee says they have until the spring to make a determination on the rule.
