The Janesville City Clerk’s Office works to remove any confusion about running for public office.

Three seats are up for election on the Janesville City Council this spring.

City Clerk Lori Stottler says incumbents Paul Benson, Aaron Burdick, and Paul Williams have not indicated whether or not they plan to run.

The first day to circulate nomination papers is December 1st.

Stottler says candidate packets are available in her office.

Nomination papers with at least 100 valid signatures and all forms must be turned into the Janesville City Clerk’s Office by Tuesday, January 2nd.
