The Janesville City Council will vote Monday night on whether or not they should apply for some grant funding which would be used for some street rehab work.
City Engineer Brad Reents says every other year they evaluate the conditions of the roads and the project would see the stretch of East Memorial Drive from Harding Street to Milton Avenue get some rehab done.
Reents the project has an estimated price tag of about $2.4 million and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation grant funding could cover up to 50% of the project cost.
Construction on the stretch is anticipated to happen in 2027.
