It looks as if a white supremacist hate group recently distributed recruitment fliers in Janesville.

Janesville Police Sergeant Ben Thompson says they became aware of the fliers in early September when they received calls from residents about baggies filled with bird seed and recruitment messages from the Aryan Freedom Network.

Thompson says they were unable to life any fingerprints from the baggies that might’ve helped determine who dropped them off, nor did they have any surveillance footage or witnesses since the baggies were distributed at night.

Thompson says the department’s investigation determined the distribution was a one time occurrence, and the fliers appeared to have been distributed at random and not targeted at certain residents.

Thompson says should anyone notice fliers of the same type again, they should immediately contact the Janesville Police Department.
