The 45-year-old Janesville man accused of hiding the corpse of a 37-year-old Beloit woman in July is found guilty during a court trial.
Medical Examiner Dr. Vincent Tranchida testified that in addition to a large amount of cocaine in her system, Judy Sprigler had an injury to her neck that he’s still waiting for testing on.
Rock County Judge John Wood found Lawrence Parker Junior guilty of a single count of hiding a corpse during a one day court trial Monday.
Parker testified that he and Sprigler had smoked an unknown drug together and when he woke up she was dead. He said hid her body in tall grass off Turtle Town Hall Road because he was afraid of being wrongly accused in her death.
Parker faces up to 12-and-a-half years in prison at sentencing on January 12th.
