The City of Janesville is encouraging prospective applicants to take advantage of the newly revised program and learn more about how it can help accomplish downtown improvement projects.

Economic Development Director Jimsi Kuborn says the terms and conditions have been updated, increasing the attractiveness of the program to new borrowers.

Kuborn says eligible activities include façade renovation, creating and improving upper-story residential units, and investments in commercial tenant spaces.

Prior to being awarded any Downtown Revolving Loan, borrowers are still fully assessed for adequate creditworthiness to effectively safeguard the funds and donations allocated to this program.
