
Whitewater police have arrested a man accused of holding a woman against her will for several days.
According to a news release, Whitewater Police Officers took Yefferson Guzman Rodriquez into custody shortly after 11am Monday morning.
The release says officers initially spotted Guzman Rodriguez in the 900 block of Highland Street and he immediately fled on foot, officers then pursued Guzman Rodriguez and took him into custody in the 300 block of South Prince Street.
According to the release, Guzman Rodriguez actively resisted officers attempts to take him into custody and a taser was successfully deployed which ended the pursuit.
The release notes Lincoln Elementary in Whitewater was placed in a hold lock status as Guzman Rodriguez approached the area.
Guzman Rodriguez faces multiple charges including kidnapping, false imprisonment, 1st degree recklessly engendering safety, and resisting an officer.
