Water main improvements are planned on East Highway 14 in Janesville starting Monday.

Project Engineer Grant Tuller says a 16 inch water main which runs along Humes road has some valves which are at the end of their life and will need to be replaced.

Tuller says the work will impact traffic a bit, as eastbound traffic will be restricted to one lane and the right turn lane will be closed at the Kennedy Road intersection.

The southbound and northbound lanes on Kennedy Road will remain open to through traffic, but the work will also result in the closure for the right turn lane on Kennedy Road at the highway 14 intersection.

The work is expected be completed by Thursday the 19th.
