David Walter, the 50 year old Beloit man facing seven counts of possession of child pornography makes his initial appearance in Rock County Court.

The state argued for a $7000 cash bond, saying Walter confessed to law enforcement, was in possession of hundreds if not thousands of images. was peer to peer sharing, and posed a significant threat as he lives near a daycare center.

Court Commissioner Mason Braunschweig ordered a $7000 cash bond for Walter, with additional conditions of no possession of electronic vehicles with access to the Internet, no intentional contact with minors, and no contact with daycare centers.

Walter will now make his adjourned initial appearance on October 6th.
