Janesville police, fire, and EMS had to respond to a man who had poured gasoline on himself in an attempt to light himself on fire Tuesday afternoon.

According to witnesses, a man was walking on at the intersection of Milton Avenue and Humes Road when he soaked himself in gasoline and was going to set himself on fire, but witnesses saw it and tackled him to the ground before police arrived.

According to Janesville Police, the man was taken to a local hospital to be treated.

No other details were available as of Tuesday evening.
