A 35 year old Beloit man who’s missed multiple mandatory appearances and was arrested Friday after a shots fired incident appears in Rock County court.

Roderick Johnson appeared in front of Court Commissioner Jack Hoag Monday afternoon where the state argued for him to be held on a $10,000 cash bond because of missed appearances in February, March, and April of this year and then committed crimes when out on a $2,500 bond.

Johnson’s defense argued some cash was necessary but felt $10,000 was excessive.

Hoag agreed with the state and issue a cash bond for Johnson in the amount of $10,000.

Johnson faces charges of possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of cocaine, and bail jumping.
