Whitewater Police are investigating an attempted child abduction.

According to a news release, just before 4:00 Thursday afternoon a man approached a minor female at the intersection of West Center and South Orange Streets.

The suspect told the girl to get in his vehicle and grabbed her right arm while attempting to pull her towards his dark sedan with tinted windows.

Whitewater police say the girl bit the man’s arm and fled on foot, while he took off in the vehicle at a high rate of speed.

The suspect is described as a 30- to 40-year-old man with tan skin, shoulder length brown hair, and a long brown and gray beard.

He was wearing a green sleeveless shirt and had a black and grey rose tattoo between his shoulder and lower neck area.
