A 20-year-old Janesville man who previously did jail time for homicide by negligent handling of a firearm is arrested on another gun charge.

Janesville Police say officers received information on Monday night indicating that a resident of a home on the 400 block of North Pearl Street may be in possession of a gun.

Officers gathered enough evidence to search Isaiah T. Ruffins home where they located a 9 millimeter semi-automatic handgun and ammunition.

Ruffins was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and a probation violation.
