The Rock County board recently appointed the new Director for the Rock County 911 Communications Center.

County Administrator Josh Smith says Fredd Carr will now lead the center as director after having served in an interim role for the last eight months, but his twelve year career includes roles as telecommunicator, shift supervisor, and training manager.

Smith says Carr’s calm demeanor, excellent listening skills, the relationships he’s built and his commitment to the success of the center make him the perfect fit for the role.

Carr was officially appointed at a Rock County Board meeting last week.
