A 40-year-old Janesville man who had to be tased in order to be taken into custody for a domestic abuse incident is bound over for trial.

Matthew Pollock appeared in Rock County Court on Friday for his preliminary hearing on charges of strangulation and suffocation, false imprisonment, battery disorderly conduct, and resisting and officer.

Pollock stood mute to the charges and not guilty pleas were entered on his behalf.

Janesville police were called to Volunteer Park on South Main Street about 4:00 p.m. on April 12th.

Officers later captured Pollock while executing a search warrant at a home in the 300 block of Milton Avenue.

A news release indicates Pollock refused to listen to officer’s commands and he was tased.
