Both Beloit and Janesville are making residents aware of water quality notices which aren’t coming from the cities.

According to Facebook posts from both cities, residents have been receiving postcards from a business saying technicians will be in the area conducting water quality tests over the next two weeks.

Beloit and Janesville both say these postcards and these tests are not affiliated with the cities in any way, and water quality notices will always come directly from the respective cities.

Residents are advised to ignore and discard the notices and do not let anyone into their homes.
