Members of the Wisconsin legislature appear to be making progress working across the aisle.

44th Assembly district Representative Sue Conley says she thinks Republicans were watching when a liberal candidate overwhelmingly won the State Supreme Court race earlier this month.

The Janesville Democrat says last session Republicans refused to collaborate with Democrats and none of their bills were heard.

Conley says this session, Republicans are approaching her about working on legislation together.

Conley says the Assembly voted unanimously on a bill to expand a grant program to protect water quality, and on a bill that tightens the timeline by which the State Department of Justice must test sexual assault kits.
