Each season, the Beloit International Film Festival presents new and compelling independent film projects that shed light on health and wellness issues touching our lives.

Executive Director Greg Gerard says this year’s BIFF Cares selections will explore issues relating to women in the military, the personal challenges of professional first responders, and an animated view of autism and on of its victims.

The Harlem Veteran Project’s film Take Your Own Notes will play along with the short animated film about autism , My Name is David on March 4th at 5th p.m. at La Casa Grande and March 5th at noon at the Hendricks Center for the Arts.

The third BIFF Cares film is PTSD911 – a feature length documentary focused on first responders and their jobs that require a willingness to face things that most people can’t event image while maintaining a high level of dignity and professionalism.

All tickets are available online at beloitfilmfest.org.
