Hispanic and Latino residents in Rock County had a difficult time obtaining health services according to 2021 data, and the Health Equity Alliance of Rock County is trying to find ways to help.

Rock County Public Health Strategist Christine Gunn says they’ll be holding two focus group sessions, the first Tuesday at the Beloit Public Library from 4 to 6pm and the second on February 14th at the Hedberg Library also from 4 to 6pm.

Gunn says the focus groups will dive into the barriers that language differences produce and they hope to build a plan to improve interpretation services and allow for improved access to care.

Participants in the focus groups will also get a $50 Visa gift card.
