Rock County Sheriff Troy Knudson’s term ends in a few days, and he’s proud of the work he’s done while also being excited about the department’s future.
Knudson tells WCLO’s Your Talk Show the new $96 million county jail project, which is expected to be completed some time in 2025, will better be able to address staffing efficiency.
Knudson says he feels like he was able to better address inmates mental health, giving them the resources needed to be able to make a change in their life when they left the jail.
Knudson had served as sheriff since 2019 and has a law enforcement career that spans more than 30 years.
Curtis Fell will be the counties next sheriff after winning in November’s election.
