A new scholarship program will guide students into a career in health care.

Mercyhealth partners with Blackhawk Technical College to award Making Lives Better Scholarships for the next two years

The full-ride scholarships will be given to qualifying students in Blackhawk Tech programs in nursing, radiology, surgical technology, culinary arts and phlebotomy technician.

The scholarships, which will be awarded starting next year, include a Mercyhealth commitment to provide a paid internship in alignment with the student’s program of study.

The health provider is committing $40,000 each year to fund the scholarships
