After a long and length process, the city of Beloit is ready to move forward with their 2023 budget.
The Beloit City Council unanimously voted to approve the proposed budget at Monday night’s meeting.
Finance Director Eric Miller says incorporating the ARPA goals the council decided upon at workshop meetings into the capital improvement plan was only one change in the budget between early October and what the council saw on Monday.
According to the proposed 2023 budget, which is available on the city website, residents could see an average decrease in property tax rates by roughly $4.70.
