The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is making the public aware of a of convicted sex offender who is moving in to the community.

25-year-old Nicholas D. Canan relocated to Rock Valley Community Programs at 203 West Sunny Lane in Janesville Monday.

Canan was convicted in Brown County of false imprisonment and third degree sexual assault in 2018.

While living in Janesville Canan is not allowed to have unsupervised contact with minors, he’s not allowed to consume drugs, and must comply with standard sex offender rules which includes GPS monitoring.
