The Janesville Police Department has both successes and challenges in 2021.

Janesville Police Chief David Moore says the 2021 annual report was released this week.

Moore says it tracks everything from crime rate to calls for services to the various programs the department operates.

Moore says that while the overall crime rate is at a 40 year low, unfortunately weapons law violations are up 83 percent over 2020.
