A 38-year-old Janesville man who fled from a traffic stop, and crashed into a Sheriff’s Deputy’s squad car while fleeing the wrong way down Highway 26, takes a plea deal in Rock County court.

Last Thursday Jesse Seales plead guilty to first degree recklessly endangering safety and fleeing an officer and no contest to causing injury while operating under the influence. Additional charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia, and four counts of bail jumping were dismissed but read into the record.

Judge Karl Hanson sentenced Seales to a total of three years in prison and three years of extended supervision.

Back in March Janesville police were investigating suspicious activity in the 15-hundred block of Parker Court about 7:00 o’clock when the initial pursuit began.

The chase ended after the suspect vehicle crashed into the squad car on Highway 26.

The deputy was treated and released.
