The preliminary hearing for a fatal shooting suspect is rescheduled because he doesn’t have an attorney.

26-year-old Daemon Hanna of Beloit is charged with first degree intentional homicide in connection with the death of 33-year-old Jordan Jefferson.

Hanna appeared before Court Commissioner Jack Hoag Monday morning for what was supposed to be his preliminary hearing.

Because Hanna hadn’t be appointed an attorney by the public defender’s office yet, the hearing was rescheduled for August 15th at 10:00 a.m.

Beloit Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of West Grand Avenue in March of last year where they found Jefferson had been fatally shot.

Hanna is currently being held on a $500,000 cash bond after being arrested at the end of July in Madison.
