A local state legislator is taking his constituents opinions to heart.

45th Assembly District Representative Mark Spreitzer says he mailed out a survey in April and received back nearly 500 responses.

Spretizer says a majority of respondents supported legalizing marijuana and accepting federal funds to expand BadgerCare.

The Beloit Democrat says people were split on things like how they rate roads and how they would pay for improvements as well as how they viewed the state’s response to COVID-19.
