Merchyhealth East in Janesville has welcomed a new board certified pediatrician.

Dr. Amanda Scheuermann says that with two young kids at home, she believes her personal life helps make her a better pediatrician by relating better to patients and parents.

Scheuermann says that good care at the start of ones life helps set them up for future success by instilling good lifestyle habits, getting kids vaccinated and sitting with them to help them transition into seeing an adult doctor.

Scheuermann received her medical degree at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Chicago and served her residency in Milwaukee.
