The deadline to pay the final installment of property taxes is fast approaching.

Rock County Treasurer Michelle Roettger says because the tax deadline of July 31st falls on a Sunday, property taxes are actually due August 1st.

Payments will be accepted online, by mail, or by using the drop box in the Courthouse lobby. In-person payments will not be accepted this year.

Roettger says there is help available for people who are struggling to pay their taxes through Wisconsin Help for Homeowners or the Foundation for Rural Housing.
