A 58-year-old Janesville man is accused of downloading naked photos of children and claiming he thought it was legal because the victim’s in the photos were not engaging in sexual acts.

Curt D. Hollis is charged in Rock County Court with three counts of possession of child pornography.

Police executed a search warrant on Hollis’ residence on July 14th after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in February.

According to the criminal complaint, at least 200 images of nude pre-pubescent children were found in Hollis’ Google account.

Hollis told police he likes looking at naked people of all ages and that he though the photos were legal because of a disclaimer on the website.

Hollis is due back in court for his adjourned initial appearance on July 28th.
