Janesville could be joining Beloit in adding another transportation option.

Assistant to the City Manager Erin Davis says the City Council will consider a 90 day pilot program for Bird electric scooters when they meet on July 25th.

Davis says Bird would be in charge of all of the costs associated with the scooters, including dealing with vandalism.

If approved, the company Bird could place the scooters in Janesville as early as August 1st. The pilot program would run through Halloween.
