The City of Janesville is ready to get members of the public officially involved in the design phase of the proposed Woodman’s Community Center at Uptown Janesville.
The City is holding a community engagement forum for the indoor athletic and conference center on July 26th from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. at the Hedberg Public Library.
City Engineer Mike Payne says there will be two preliminary conceptual floor plans and exterior renderings available for members of the public to check out.
Payne says that while cost estimates for the project likely won’t be available until late August, it’s safe to say that due to inflation and other factors, it will likely be more than the original estimate of around $30 million.
