A Rock County Sheriff’s Office news release says the Wisconsin Department of Corrections is relocating a sex offender to the Jessie Crawford Recovery Center, 4544 East US Highway 14, Janesville July 5. According to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office news release, Gerald L. Campton was convicted of second Degree Sexual Assault of a Child September 13, 1995 and first Degree Sexual Assault of a Child January 2, 1996. While placed at 4544 East US Highway 14, Janesville, conditions of Campton’s supervision includes no unsupervised contact with minors, cooperate with electronic monitoring, and have face-to-face contact with law enforcement. The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is not responsible for the placement of this sex offender in any manner, but by law are required to provide public notice.
