There will be a partisan primary election in August for the Rock County Sheriff race.

County Clerk Lisa Tollefson says Democrats Troy Egger and Curtis Fell will face off August 9th while Independent Craig Keller automatically advances to the November ballot.

There will also be partisan primaries in August for the 31st, 43rd, and 45th Assembly Districts, as well as numerous other state and federal offices.

The deadline to file papers to run for office was Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.

The primary election is August 9th and the general election is November 8th.
