A Democratic Congressman from Wisconsin is speaking out against the leaked U.S. Supreme Court draft opinion indicating a willingness by the court’s conservative majority to overturn Roe versus Wade.

2nd District Representative Mark Pocan says you can’t have this type of a law as a patchwork state by state.

The Democrat worries that marriage equality could also now be at risk.

Wisconsin has had a ban on abortions except to save the life of the mother since 1849.

The new draft opinion was made in a case challenging Mississippi’s ban on abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy. The court is expected to rule on the case before its term ends in June or July.
